This includes offering assistance with navigating healthcare options, organizing support groups, and providing educational materials that empower individuals to understand their diagnosis and treatment options. We strive to create a network that fosters connection in the greater Glen Cove Commuity, ensuring that no one has to walk this path alone.
Education
A strong educational foundation is essential for fostering awareness and promoting cancerprevention.
Health
Health care is not only a human right but a must that is why at Glen Cove Cares we do everything that we can to assist those fighting cancer with additional healthcare services to aid in this fight.
Community
When it comes to battling cancer, having the right support and a community by your side makes all the difference. Community is the family that transcends traditional boundaries.
Below are some additional services...
- Provide financial support for cancer awareness activities
- Provide the services of licensed massage therapists for the continuing comfort of patients undergoing
- Chemotherapy and or radiation treatments
- Work in conjunction with volunteer doctors from the Northwell System at Glen Cove who donate their time and expertise to speak at education seminars.
- Provide materials and instruction on “ Guided Imagery" a tool for increasing
- the comfort of chemotherapy patients
- Provide additional financial support to cancer patients in times of natural disasters
- Provide support and assistance from a licensed cosmetologist through the
look-good feel-good program for patients facing Chemotherapy and or radiation treatments
